Kokum

A cherry like fruit seed from the kokum tree (Garcinia Indica). The Kokum tree, sometimes called, "magnosteen tree" grown in India, Western Ghats in Konkan, Goa, and Kerala. The seed is rich with essential fatty acids, Vitamin E, A, B3, and C. It has minerals such as calcium, iron, manganese, potassium, and zinc. It fights skin damage before it is actually detected by the human eye. With all of its anti-inflammatory properties kokum is good for sensitive skin.

Burdock Root

Burdock (Arctium lappa) a biennial plant species, an herb grown in most of the US that produces purple flowers. The weed can grow over 4 feet tall and the roots grow as deep as 2 feet in the ground. The long firm carrot-like root has a host of vitamins which includes B6 and C . It contains minerals such as folate, manganese, potassium, phosphorous, calcium, and iron. According to researchers burdock consists of carbohydrates, volatile oils, plant sterols, tannins, and fatty oils. With all of its anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, and antibacterial effects, the root is awesome for sunburns, acne, rosacea, and eczema.

Almond Oil

Almonds grow on nut trees, most of them are cultivated in California however; some are grown in Asia, Europe, and Africa. Almonds grow on trees that grow between 13-33 feet high, along with pink petal flowers. These little strapping powerhouses are processed into oil by using a press machine. The oil is rich with Vitamin A, B, D, and E, with minerals such as potassium, calcium, magnesium, fatty acid omega-9 and an immense amount of protein. These vitamins and minerals are known to improve skin complexion, aid in healing sun damage, nourish and soften the skin.

Red Clay

Formed by weather extremes such as rain, wind, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions and such, so it has a high mineral content. It’s mostly found in tropical environments, Africa, Asia, and some southern parts of US. Red Clay has antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties. Beneficial for all skin types plus skin irritations. It also helps unclog hair follicles and assist with other scalp issues.

Aloe Vera

A rich succulent medicinal, cactus plant with large mesophyll tissue leaves, cultivated in warm dry climates. It produces thick pea-green, triangular, leathery leaves, with spiked jagged edges, aloe vera can grow as long as 3 feet. The thick leaves carry a clear gel which is 99% water, along with glucomannans, amino acids, lipids, and sterols. Abundantly sourced with vitamins such as A, C, E. B1, B2, B6 and B12, extreme detoxifiers for the skin. The plant is highly anti-inflammatory with antioxidants and enzymes, which is valuable for rejuvenation of new cells, acne treatment and as a moisturizer. It naturally produces antiviral and antibacterial properties, the nutrients prevent wrinkles as it balances the skin whether it’s oily or dry. Aloe Vera has powerful healing activity which can improve the skins natural firmness as it hydrates.

Carrots

Planted and grown domestically in vegetable gardens and can be grown any place, although temperatures too high may produce a low quality carrot. Carrots are said to be originally purple in color. Wild Carrots however (queen anne’s lace) are actually weeds that grow along the sides of the roads or in dry untamed locations. Carrots create beta carotene, which is known to repair skin tissues and protect skin from the sun rays. Beta carotene is also another source of antioxidants, it reduces hair loss and promotes hair growth.

Avocado Oil

Home to tropical and warm temperate regions, said to have originated in Mexico, a relative to the lauraceae plant, these large berries are grown with one large centered seed. The tree takes between four to six years to actually bear the fruit. The leaves grow up to 4 inches wide and 11 inches long. Avocados not only carry vitamin A, D, K, and E, it also helps the absorption of the fat-soluble vitamins. It has effectual minerals like potassium, riboflavin, copper, niacin, and manganese. Beneficial for skin tone, as it balances the skins natural oils. It is powerful enough to help fight against skin cancers, while it protects the cells and recovers the skin from free radicals.
